MDT Attended China IT Industry Outsourcing Summit 2008 (CITOS 2008)

MDT representatives attended the China IT Industry Outsourcing Summit 2008 (CITOS 2008) on Nov. 13th. The event, which is an integral part of The International Cooperation Symposium on China Software and IT Industry, is a high-level conference on the field of software/IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing (BPO) in China. The objective of the summit is to gain up-to-date information regarding the status and trends of software/IT development and outsourcing industries in China, to learn about the development practices of these industries in developed countries, to share the experience of software market-dominant companies in China, Europe and America, and to establish direct contacts between customers and service/product providers, thereby strengthening the cooperation between China and foreign nations.

As a member of the Beijing Association of Sourcing Service, MDT was invited to attend this event along with other leading outsourcing companies in China. We got very up-to-date information on the Chinese government’s initiatives to boost software outsourcing and were informed of the latest policies in the field. We also attended presentations from leading international outsourcing customers and providers, as well as met some leading software development companies. After the presentations, there were networking activities to facilitate direct contacts with potential customers.

MDT Attended the 6th China International Software & Information Service Fair (CISIS 2008)

MDT representatives attended the 6th China International Software & Information Service Fair on June 19th-21th in Dalian, China. This event was designed to demonstrate the competitiveness of the Chinese software industry. Led by the Beijing Association of Sourcing Service, MDT displayed an exhibition board and platform for visitor’s review, allowing them to see our core business and implemented technologies. Meanwhile, we attended the annual meeting named “The road of China service outsourcing upgrade”, where we spoke with government officers and software producers, discussing the current trend of global service outsourcing.

MDT Gathers Donations for Sichuan Earthquake Victims
May 15th, 2008

MDT InfoTech initiated a donation movement on May 15th to help the Sichuan disaster area after the biggest earthquake in 30 years occurred in the Sichuan province in the southwest of China, leaving tens of thousands of local residents suffering from the devastation. MDT InfoTech employees were all willing to give whatever possible to the distant victims. We expressed our concerns and gave our blessings to the victims through different ways and zealously donated money and other materials. The movement gathered monetary and material donations from both the company and its employees, which will be delivered to Red Cross on May 16th.

Although our donations are not much relative to the size of the disaster and our influence is limited, MDT still sees it necessary to do whatever possible to contribute to those in need of immediate help. We strongly believe in taking on social responsibility outside of our everyday business and hope that our donations truly make a difference to those who have unfortunately suffered from this tragedy.

MDT Establishes Shanghai Subsidiary
May 15th, 2008

After a few months of preparation, MDT set up its subsidiary company in Shanghai, China in May 2008. With its establishment, we can provide more convenient services to our clients in Shanghai and deliver more efficiently to companies throughout Mainland China.

The MDT Shanghai office is located in Xuhui district, near the Shanghai Gymnasium. Combined with our offshore development center in Beijing and another subsidiary in Seattle, Washingon, MDT now possesses a comprehensive service model including offshore/onshore and offsite/on-site. Since the establishment of the new office, we have employed a large workforce of engineers to meet increasing customers’ demands.

MDT Held 2007 Annual Meeting
January 28th, 2008

MDT held 2007 annual meeting in Beijing Yanshan hotel on Jan.26th. MDT has successfully achieved the business goal of 100% growth in 2007. All the staff of MDT gathered to celebrate this achievement as well as the coming Chinese Spring Festival.

During 2007, MDT has extended our ODC business model to a few more global clients. In this model, MDT serves as client's extended development / testing teams in China to provide them with high-quality outsourcing service. long-term relationships between clients and MDT under ODC model also guarantee dedicated facility and equipments, strong and stable team, which has proven to increase clients' ROI effectively in a long-term perspective. MDT also launched BPO as new outsourcing business area to fill in increasing demands from global clients. We plan to build more expertise in this area in 2008.

MDT InfoTech Moved to New Office

MDT InfoTech moved to new office on Jan. 19th, 2008. Please find the new address in the Contact page.

In 2007, MDT InfoTech achieved the goal of 100% business growth successfully. We moved our development center to better support our business goal in the new year. Our new office is also in the high-tech area of Beijing. It has double working space and high-quality infrastructures, such as high-speed Internet connections, 24 x 7 electronic power supply and UPS device, restricted access to working area, etc. The infrastructure and IT facilities are capable of ensuring smooth communication with our offshore customers and fully protecting customers’ intellectual properties.

Seamless IT transfer to the new office has been carefully planned and achieved to guarantee 0 data loss. All kinds of customer data have been backed up in multiple ways. All movement was completed during weekend to keep possible impact to existing projects at the lowest level.
